Back-compat shim — uses module-level getLogger() since callers do not
thread an ILogger through; phase-3 will delete and inline at call sites.
The error type and the error message are both offered to the advice lookup:
some upstream failures arrive under a catch-all code and are only
identifiable from their message text.
The message is masked before the advice is appended. A secret the bank's
snippet cut off hides the rest of the text it is masked in, so masking the
whole line would hide the advice too.
